Recognizing the need for help and showing up is enough. As your counsellor, my role isn't to provide the answers but to guide you through questions that help you uncover your own insights and solutions. This meeting is about starting a journey together, where I support you in navigating your thoughts and feelings, without the pressure of having everything figured out from the start.

How long is a typical counselling session?Counselling sessions typically last 50 minutes to one hour. The duration may vary depending on the type of counselling and your specific needs.

Is everything discussed in counselling confidential?Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of counselling. I am bound by ethical standards to keep your information private. However, there are legal and ethical exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. In your first session, confidentiality will be discussed in detail.

How do I schedule a counselling session?Scheduling a session is easy. You can schedule a session by phone, online, or email to inquire about availability.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?Life happens, and I understand. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. This allows me to adjust our schedule and offer the time to others. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

Do you offer virtual counselling sessions?Yes, I offer virtual counselling sessions for individuals who prefer the convenience of online counselling. I use secure and confidential platforms to ensure your privacy during virtual sessions.

Do you accept insurance?I currently do not directly bill insurance. However, I can provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It's recommended to check with your insurance provider regarding coverage for counseling services.

What types of payment do you accept?I accept various e-transfer and cash. Payment is typically due at the end of each session.

Is counselling only for individuals, or do you offer couples or family counselling?In addition to individual counselling, I offer couples and family counselling. I am trained to address a variety of relationship dynamics and family concerns.
